I grew in Rostov-on-Don in Russia, and gave my first public performance at the age of 7. After winning many competitions and appearing on national radio and television, I studied piano at the Moscow Conservatory with, among others, Rudolf Kehrer. Since graduating with honours, I have given numerous solo recitals and chamber music performances. In recent years, I have complemented a busy teaching schedule with concert engagements in Britain, France and Canada. I now make my home in Chobham near Woking, England.
I have been most fortunate with my piano teachers since my childhood.
My music school piano teacher, Vera Klyachko Litvin
was a Moscow Conservatoire graduate and a student of
Vladimir Sofronitsky. Being an outstanding teacher, she has given me powerful grounding in both piano technique and musicality as well as understanding of the principles of rapid, deep and dynamic piano progress, characteristic of the Russian piano school.
Boris Schatzkes
was my teacher at the Moscow Conservatoire College - Merzlyakovka. His highly acclaimed Class concerts, his many exquisite piano transcriptions and deep connection with music of Nikolai Medtner are fondly remembered by many.
In Moscow Conservatoire my Piano professor was Internationally acclaimed, a legendary Concert pianist
Rudolf Kehrer. With a Diploma in Performance (Distinction) and MMus (Hons) from Moscow Conservatoire I am an enthusiastic and patient piano teacher with experience at all ability levels, whether you're preparing for your diploma or learning for fun! Lessons are carried out at my home during evenings and weekends. Additionally, I am a member of ISM, fully insured and CRB checked allowing me to offer teaching both in Schools and privately. Based in Chobham, my teaching studio is easily accessible from Woking, Guildford, Ascot, Sunningdale, and Windlesham. It is also easy to travel to my piano studio from Windsor, Sunninghill, South Ascot, Egham, Virginia Water, Chavey Down, and Cheapside.
Originating from Russia, my lessons are available in both English and Russian, focusing on my pupils’ individual progress, helping them to achieve their cherished piano playing goals. My tuition thoroughly covers all aspects of pianistic development: technique, sight reading, understanding of different musical styles, music theory.
Whether you would like to learn for your own enjoyment or to achieve a high standard of piano playing, you will be guided and supported towards your goal with an individually designed programme and offered many opportunities to perform in public on a platform of your choice:
Grade and Diploma examinations, Class concerts or Festivals and Competitions.
